Cat Clinics

We are a 501c3 No Kill Rescue

“Ridgway Animal Haven was founded on Oct 16, 2017 because of the need for a place to bring the stray, abused, and neglected animals in our area. Myself and other board members approached the Ridgway Borough Counsel with a proposal to fix their holding pen. The proposal asked if we could fix their holding pen and do adoptions once the animals were ready to go. We were only allowed a 48-hour holding period, so the Ridgway Animal Haven board and I decided to build our own rescue. Its been a long process and required lots of funds from the community, but we finally raised enough funds to build our own building. Without the community, volunteers, fundraising committee, and Creative Concrete donating their time, this never would have been possible. We can’t thank you enough!”

Spay and Neuter Clinics

We have spayed and neutered 98 cats since January 2024. Out of the 98 cats 25 were done in our facility. Thanks to Brook Bricen (veterinary), Jessica Taylor (veterinary technician) and Sarah Sidelinger (veterinary technician) for making our clinics possible. Clinics are made possible by donors and sponsors.

There will be a $20 holding fee for spots in the clinic. People have been signing up and then never showing up. When that happens we still have to pay for the spot of that cat and we do not get reimbursed.

Please bring cats in hard carriers.

A clinic costs $1,000. If you or someone you know is interested in donating or sponsoring a clinic, please let us know!

Trap and Release Program

We do a Trap and Release program in Ridgway and Johnsonburg. Anyone in need of trapping service please contact the shelter.
